BoopCCQ was created to solve a common challenge in language teaching: creating effective Concept Check Questions (CCQs) that truly test vocabulary understanding.
We combine the accuracy of Merriam-Webster dictionary definitions with sophisticated algorithms to generate targeted, non-subjective questions at multiple difficulty levels, saving teachers time while improving student outcomes.
What are Concept Check Questions?
CCQs are specialized, non-subjective questions designed to check if students truly understand the meaning of vocabulary words, not just memorize definitions. They're an essential tool in language teaching, particularly for ESL and EFL instruction.
Rather than asking "What does 'extinguish' mean?", a good CCQ might ask: "If a candle is extinguished, is it still burning? (Yes/No)" This tests actual comprehension, not rote memorization.
Four Levels of Questions
